LEARNING & GROWING

The Experience Behind My Work

Background

I began my career as a chemical engineer, drawn to structure and problem-solving. Motherhood deepened my understanding of emotional complexity and human connection. When my children became adults, I became a counselor. I strive to combine analytical insight with warmth and compassion in supporting individuals and families through life’s transitions and complex relationships.

Education

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Holy Cross.

Certifications

I earned a certificate in Training for Adoption Competency from the Center for Adoption Support and Education in 2024. In 2025, I completed the state requirements to become a qualified family mediator. I have trained in the Gottman Method as well as the methods used to assist families who are looking to reunify after a separation. I am a trained facilitator for the Rebuilders after divorce support program.

Ongoing Learning

I regularly participate in continuing education in order to provide my clients with the best possible support and care.
